Peveril Gardens
Peveril Gardens occupy the roof of a former garage in Southwark, London. Once a derelict ‘playground in the sky’ attached to a nearby tower block, the site was reimagined following a 2018 Southwark Council competition. Sanchez Benton Architects’ winning proposal transformed the space into a rooftop garden as part of the building’s conversion into artists’ studios—now home to Forma Arts and Media.
Working alongside Professor Nigel Dunnett, Anna developed and implemented the planting design, coordinating with architects and contractors, selecting shrub, climbers, and bulb species, setting out and planting on site to shape the composition directly in situ, and preparing illustrated plant lists for contractors. Her contribution defined much of the garden’s spatial rhythm, seasonal expression, and planting structure.
